I FEEL FANCY

We all have that one item of clothing that when we put it on; we feel like we can take on the world. This super old ASOS dress is my favourite dress and it never ceases to make me feel like a fancy nancy when I put it on.

This dress is from the main range and is a UK size 18. I find the ASOS Curve body cons come up a little big and can be a bit baggy on so if you fancy going for a dress like this, size down. My ethos is that not everything you wear has to be flattering, some times you want to wear that over size top or baggy T-shirt dress. With this dress I must admit I love how flattering the print is and how it seems to follow the shape of my body. Unfortunately this dress is not available online anymore but I've put together a selection of dresses below that mean you can create this look if you're into that sort of thing.

The accessories I wore are all old and out of stock but there are lots of similar shoes available online at New Look in the wide fit section and you can't beat Topshop for cute handbags.

For my makeup, I used Sleek Brow Kit on my big brows, Glam Eyes Eyeliner by Rimmerl and MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in Criminal on my lips. Mwah xx

Cloudy

I have been awol recently as I am moving back to London soon, so alllll of my focus has been on that but I couldn't resist doing a post on this wonderful dress.

I have had my eye on it for a long time and couldn't say no when I saw it for £15 (down from £50) on the Evans website.

What do you think about it ladies? I personally love it. I like the sleeve length for this time of year, the midi length is perfect as well...check the pastey white legs out eurgh! I'm not wearing a slip underneath it but I think I would do in the future. I think this landscape print is sooooo good. You have probably noticed that I like prints and this really stood out for me when I saw it. *round of applause for Evans*. I got my usual size and it's a good fit as it's not skin tight and gives me room to breathe.

Love it! I've teamed it with my old trusty white brogues from Office which I really must replace soon as they are looking a little worst for wear.

Right, I am off. More house stuff to do! I will be doing a post on that in the coming weeks so watch out for that. I've been up cycling old pieces of furniture, going to house auctions and trawling antique and recycled furniture shops to find the perfect pieces for my gorgeous new house. I think I've become a bit addicted to interior stuff!!!

Be body con.

A word about body con dresses.

If you know me, you know I love a body con dress/skirt. Body cons used to be a no no for fat people and then they got propelled into our wardrobes quicker than you can say 'fat sausage'. I recently read a post slamming them and that just because its now OK to wear them if you're a size 16+, it doesn't mean you should. Wear what the fuck you want, yeah?

My favourite brand for compacting my fat into a tube shape: Asos. Not Asos Curve though, I love the main range ones. I wear a UK18/20 and I've bought Asos Curve body cons but for me, they are too big and the fabric isn't as supportive as their other ones. From their main range, I regularly wear their UK 16s. You can size down 1/2 dress sizes in my opinion. Have a try next time you do a cheeky Asos purchase. Let me know what you think of them.

Here's some pictures of me in my beloved body con dresses and skirts to help give you some inspiration. (Not just from Asos, but from here, there and everywhere)
