Wide Fit Friendly Trainers

Everyone loves a trainer right?... Wrong! I didn't wear trainers for years and years because I didn't think any would be suitable for my chunky "pork chop feet" (My Dads loving nickname for me haha). I wear standard trainers for sport but always steered clear of fashion trainers. Fast forward to 2017 and whilst writing this post, I am lovingly looking over at my growing trainer collection and I can't believe I ignored this style of shoe for so long.

Now, my feet aren't massively wide but they are wider than average and I either wear a size 5 or a 6. I find that I pretty much always buy shoes from the wide fit section (New Look, Asos, River Island being my faves) but the below non-wide fit trainers and flats also work perfectly for me and I thought I'd share as I know a lot of you also have chunky paws.

I LOVE Vagabond shoes and have a vast amount of boots, flats and trainers from this Swedish shoe brand. If you haven't, give Vagabonds a try; I think you'll be suitably impressed.

These are sooooooo comfy and I know a few guys and gals with wide fit who love this style. Try the classics or one of their newest styles like the 'Adidas Superstar Bold' (shown in the top photo) and let me know what you think.

Now this really surprised me as I'd always imagined Converse to be very narrow fitting but they are so roomy! I've had to size down in my pair of Cons and I have plenty of room still. I am 30 and I'd never owned any before, now I've got 3 pairs and counting... oops!

Back to Adidas with these but I am fast becoming an Adidas girl and even though I've started off with the classic styles; I'll definitely be trying the newer styles in the future. The Gazelles come up slightly smaller than the Superstars but they are still just as comfy.

Are there any non-wide fit trainers that you love and you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below!

Nailing the Knee High Trend

Ever wanted to wear a style or trend but been too scared to try it? This was me when it came to knee high/ over the knee boots. I've always wanted to try them but when you are graced with chubby legs like I have; it's hard to find ones that fit.

You might have wider calves or thicker thighs or chunky ankles, either way the knee high boot has previously been a tricky style to work with. Thankfully, the likes of River Island, Asos and New Look have all come through this autumn/winter and there are plenty of styles to pick from.

Here's a little look at how I recently styled my wide fit knee high boots (currently out of stock). I like the medium heel on these particular boots and the fact there is a tie at the back so you can secure them. These boots don't really budge either. Some styles slip down your leg but so far, so good with these. I have linked some very similar ones below, as well as my other fave picks this season.

8 Wide Fit Boots You Need this Autumn

It's bootie season! Hurray!
I was inspired by Gracie's blog post (here) and thought I'd put a post together featuring some of my fave Wide Fit Boots.

Now, I'm not going to lie and say that I'm totally happy with the selection we have available to us; as I'm not. Where are all the gorgeous embroidered boots? Where are all the lace up knee high boots? I have seen so many of these available in standard fit, I'm just praying we get some wide fit options asap!

Anyway, I don't mean to be a negative nancy as we do have some beautiful boots available at the moment so without further ado; here are 8 of my favourites...

Where do you like to buy your wide fit shoes from? My favourite stores are ASOS and New Look but I am *SO* excited to see that River Island and now Boohoo both have wide fit shoes for sale.
Buh Bye Money!

- 8 Wide Fit Shoes You Need -

The great thing about the increasing number of plus size shops is that this means there is an increasing amount of wide fit shoes available. Previously people who had wide feet only had a very limited amount of styles available to them and they were far from stylish!

Nowadays with the likes of New Look and ASOS there are an abundance of cute heels and flats available and I have put together 8 styles I think every fashionista should have in their collection. If you like a particular shoe, click on it and it'll take you directly to the correct website.

 Happy Feet.

- Sales -

Even though I was bombarded with sales this year, I felt like I was very sort of restrained. The sales seem to start earlier and earlier each year which is great for those last minute Christmas shoppers but not so great for shopping addicts like myself!

I picked up a few gems and thought you might like to see what I got. I always love a bargain and I LOVE when things you have wanted for ages end up in the sale at amazing prices.

Gogo Philip Jewellery
Jewellery - I've been after some Gogo Philip pieces for ages and I spotted these in the ASOS sale and couldn't resist them...they were sooooooo cheap. I think the leaf necklace was £2 (now sadly out of stock) but the other necklace is available here and the clip on earrings are also sadly out of stock now but they were £3! I always wear big, statement jewellery and I thought it would be nice to have some dainty things in my collection.

Vagabond boots
Vagabond Boots - As I previously mentioned, I love when you've been coveting something and then it ends up being a great price in the sale. You might have noticed I have an obsession with white shoes and these Vagabond boots are MEGA GOOD. I can't tell you how comfy they are and I'm already thinking about buying a second pair... just because. They were originally £100 but I bought them for £48.

New Look Wide Fit Shoes
Heels - As you all know, I love the wide fit shoes from New Look and thanks to them I wear heels A LOT more often. They just get it. Often wide fit shoes can look a bit crappy but they consistently surprise me and the New Look sales are a-mazing. The Leopard print sandals are real leather and a snip at £14, they are such beautiful shoes. The pink glitter heels have the same fit as all of the other pairs I was wearing last summer and I can't wait to take them for a spin. They are such a bargain at £12.

ASOS Curve shirt
Shirt - Loud, garish and leopard print... my favourite things! I've been after this ASOS Curve shirt for a while now and I thought seeing as it is only £18 I'd go for it! It fits nicely over my ample bosom, I only sized up by one size and thought this might have been a problem but the fit is spot on.

MUA Makeup goodies
Makeup - Sometimes you come across a sale and it's just too good to ignore. The MUA sale was incredible. When I bought these, they had 30% off and if you subscribed to their mailing list - new customers got an extra 20% off your basket... How good is that? WELL, it's even better now.. they have 65% off in their sale shop now!!! I picked up so many bits (as you can see above). Check their site out here for all their sale picks.

Brand spotlight | New Look Wide Fit Shoes

You might have noticed that this summer I have been obsessed with two pairs of New Look wide fit heels. I bought this black pair and couldn't believe how comfortable they were so I bought this blue pair and I'm not gunna lie, I just bought them in silver as well. I'm obsessssssed.

Seeing as I am now a total New Look shoe convert, I thought I'd put together a selection of some of my favourites that you can buy online now.

What are your thoughts on New Look wide fit shoes?

Grayscale

Ever since that size S dreamy, pink neoprene jacket made it's way into my wardrobe I now check Boohoo's main range for jackets as it just goes to show you; you shouldn't always take notice of what the label says. Whilst I was perusing the online "rails" I spotted this grey neoprene biker jacket and I thought I'd give it a go in a size L and low and behold it fits. I like how the style is a nod to the standard biker jacket that many of us live in during the winter months but the material and colour make it just that little bit different. The material is stiff and thick *sniggers* and is going to be perfect when it gets even colder. I also like that the sleeves are 3/4 length as when I wear jackets I tend to roll the sleeves up anyway.

The grey floral dress is a little cutie don't you think? It's from Alice and You available from ASOS and I think it's the fourth or fifth Alice and You item I own. They constantly bring out cute items as well as more trend led ones, that baby blue pvc skirt I have is made by them... I love that bad boy! I sized up in this dress by one size and I'm happy I did as sometimes shift styles can be a little clingy on my belly. It's made out of scuba fabric so my outfit today would be perfect if I wanted to fling myself around as I'd just bounce of everything and not feel a thing... oh man I feel like I'm chatting utter nonsense today!

I fully committed myself to the all grey theme today but thought I'd add a pop of colour so I accessorised with a chartreuse coloured bag (old H&M) and these two colours are one of my fave combos. The boots are wide fit New Look jobbies (no longer available) and I'm wearing tights from M&S.
