LFW AW17 DAY 4

- Day 4 of London Fashion Week -

Waking up refreshed in the Hilton Bankside was an absolute joy. It definitely made it easier to face the busy day ahead. I have to admit, considering the amount I had done all weekend; I still had some umph in me. I think it's because I was enjoying myself SO much. I laughed non stop for the entirety of LFW, I was surrounded by fashion and just living my best life really!

[ I've seen a number of articles and blog posts suggesting that plus size girls/men shouldn't attend LFW and that there is no place for people like us at London Fashion Week. I could discuss this for hours but all I'm simply going to say on this is; that is a load of bollocks. Just because I happen to have more fat on my body than the average person and just because the clothes being shown don't fit my body; whose to say I can't experience the excitement and thrill of LFW. I have worked in the fashion industry since I left University of the Arts and I know my sh*t when it comes to fashion. I live for it. I'll proudly take up space on the FROW for as long as I like. ]

I started the day by shooting my outfit with Comb, just outside the hotel I was staying in. I then headed into central to get my hair done at the Apartment by PRIV and have my makeup touched up by Bare Minerals. I have to say, the hair and makeup girls at this years Apartment Influencer Hangout were incredible. Professional yet super fun and a joy to be around.

I attended shows all day and once we were done a group of us headed to Carnaby Street. A quiet few drinks turned into drunken ping pong matches, watching men break dancing on tables, an impromptu *and very pricey* tuc tuc ride into Soho followed by a very late night dancing the night away.

It's safe to say, I didn't manage Day 5 of London Fashion Week! I was broken by this point haha!
Until next season, it's been a pleasure.

Here's what I wore...

Before having my hair braided, my hair was wild and if I'm honest with you; rather greasy! I felt so much better about my look once my hair was done. I put this outfit together at the last minute and I think it's actually my favourite of the whole weekend. As with all my looks, I felt comfortable all day,  I had very comfy feet and I love all the different layers of colour.

LFW AW17 DAY 2

Waking with rather a sore head, I headed into central London for Day 2 of London Fashion Week. I hadn't planned on staying out as late as I did the night before, but the party animal in me came out and I couldn't resist a dance with some of my fave people.

For Day 2 I caught lots of Fashion Scout shows, pretty much every show they had showing and my highlight was the CECI AW17 show which was full of patchwork denim, faux fur and amazing silhouettes.
Thanks to my friend Charley I was able to attend the INCREDIBLE Versus Versace show over at the huge Olympia venue. Guys, Guys... what an experience! There was a pre party, prosecco was flowing and I was celeb spotting here, there and everywhere! My good pal Jordan Dunn was there (lol) along with stars such as Will.I.Am and the Queen herself, Donatella Versace. The Hadid sisters walked the catwalk and the whole show was such a spectacle. The music and light show made the entire room buzz and I was glued to every model strutting their stuff!

Here's what I wore...

I have followed independent designer, Fraktura for a while now and wore a dress by them a few years back. I really wanted to wear one of their pieces to LFW and due to them having tonnes of amazing pieces; I actually wore them head to toe!

I absolutely love Fraktura because everything is handmade in Bulgaria and they have seriously cool garment shapes and their size range is impressive! They stock UK size 4 - 26 and they also make jewellery and bags. If you are into this outfit; you'll love what they have to offer.

LFW AW17 Day 1

The madness of London Fashion Week descended onto central London for another season and as ever; I was so happy to be part of it. For Day 1 of LFW I collaborated with my faves over at Simply Be and took control of their Instagram page. I love that plus size brands are now getting more involved with the hottest fashion event of the year and it's always a pleasure to show readers what's happening in LFW each season.

I started my day at the incredible influencer hangout, The Apartment and had my hair did by Priv (a mobile beauty app) before setting off into Holborn to snap some street style around the Fashion Scout venue, Freemasons Hall. I caught some shows after snapping a few looks and had some lunch with friends. My show highlights for the day were the Judy Wu presentation and Mark Fast show. I had a ticket to the amazing PPQ show but sadly due to some other shows running late; I didn't make it in time. *still feeling very distraught about this a week later*

To finish the day I partied into the early hours at The Edition Hotel for the Jordan Dunn X Missguided launch. The supermodel herself was there, (I may or may not have pushed past her by mistake...oops!) and incredible performances from Che Lingo and Nadia Rose really topped the whole event off. Day 1 Was amazing and here's a little look at what I wore...

LFW LOOK: Day 3 Simplicity

I only managed three out of the five days of London Fashion Week this season but for someone with a chronic pain condition; I think that's pretty good going. I *so* wish I could do more, attend after parties and still get up bright and early the next day to do it all again; but that's impossible for me. I have to take my time with everything, rest in-between shows and get myself home at a reasonable time. Oh the joy of Fibromyalgia! :-/

For the 3 days I was there, I had a ball and I really do love being immersed in the excitement of all the fashion and fabulous shows. For my last day I wanted the ultimate in fuss free dressing.

If I could wear one brand for the rest of my life it would probably be COS. I took a trip to my local store a week before LFW and I had my eye on a few items. I am SO happy I picked up this asymmetrical top as it was perfect for the minimal LFW look I had in mind. I am wearing a size 'L' here.

I have never, ever owned a pair of trousers like these ones from Marks and Spencers but oh my; I'm a convert. I have been really inspired recently by male fashion bloggers and I love the masculine edge these trousers bring to the look. I have so many outfit ideas in my head and can't wait to wear them repeatedly.

Whilst looking for my trousers I spotted the sleeveless grey jacket and I prayed that the size 'L' would fit me. It was the perfect jacket for a day running around London!

LFW Look: Day 2 A Thin Blue Line

Continuing on from my last post I wanted to share with you what I wore on Day 2 of London Fashion Week. I had so much fun putting my outfits together for this season of LFW and this was definitely my favourite look of the week.

I took a trip to my local M&S and scoured the store for some cute classics. I wanted a slip dress I'd seen online and I wanted to layer it over a white shirt. Marks and Spencers came to the rescue because I found this gorgeous floral slip dress and also this amazing ivory shirt.

The dress is a size 22 and skims my lumps and bumps perfectly! I love the soft touch of the fabric and it feels a lot more expensive than it actually is. The thing I love about M&S is that they do the same item in different lengths. This dress comes in 'short' and 'regular'.  The ivory shirt is so cute, I love the fluted sleeve which is bang on trend and I love the simple gold button fastening with frill panel.

To keep this look nice as relaxed, I paired it with some new Vagabond trainers and this gorgeous bag which I accessorised with a little scarf. I will be taking the bag back to Zara though as the clasp kept failing on me all day and I had to get help to open it every time I wanted to get in it!

Lastly, I fancied having a play with my usual makeup and I picked up this blue liquid eyeliner recently so I slicked it on with some orange eyeshadow to compliment the dress. What do you think?
